Workshop Necessity
Digital transformation in industrial and product-driven organizations is not merely about adopting new technologies or replacing existing systems. It requires a fundamental rethinking of how processes, data, organizational collaboration, and value creation are managed throughout the product lifecycle.
As products become increasingly complex, the number of stakeholders grows, data volumes and diversity continue to expand, and organizations face an increasing need for faster, data-driven decision-making, there is a growing need for an integrated approach to managing product-related information and processes. In this context, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) plays a key role in digital transformation by connecting people, processes, and product data across the product lifecycle.
At the same time, developing a clear understanding of digital transformation—and distinguishing it from simply digitizing existing processes or implementing new software—is essential for making informed decisions about an organization's digital transformation journey. The absence of a shared understanding among management and technical teams can lead to siloed solutions, fragmented investments, and an inability to realize the expected business value from digital transformation initiatives.
This workshop is therefore designed to establish a shared and integrated understanding of the drivers, concepts, and requirements of digital transformation in product-driven organizations. Within this context transformation in product-driven organizations. Within this context of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform in connecting people, data, and processes across the product value chain will be explored, including its contribution to establishing an integrated Digital Thread throughout the product lifecycle.
The workshop is intended to serve as a starting point for establishing a common language and shared perspective among management and technical stakeholders, while providing a foundation for defining, prioritizing, and planning future initiatives along the organization's digital transformation journey.
